Thoreauly Done

Hello!

I am starting a website for a new interest of mine...

Exploring the outdoors! After a year of self-isolation, many have been fascinated with nature, cottages, and wildlife. Now that many are getting vaccinated, and it is getting safer to venture out into the world, I feel confident in this new hobby enough to finally create this page!

Inspired by Henry David Thoreau, this website will be me recording the adventures I have, things I find, and any thoughts that come to me in a way that is easy to read at 3 am for those burden with insomnia or any other troubling thoughts. Let this be a place for you to escape to and find brief refuge in the wilderness after such bizarre and troubling world events.

Many of these places will be in New Jersey

As this is where I am from and the COVID global pandemic is not yet over so I will refrain from any interstate travel.

If you are planning on traveling to any of these destinations, please do so with caution. Please follow CDC and State guidelines for the safety of everyone.

Many of these places might be Lesser known sites

These are places I have found that are not State Parks but are nice to walk around, explore, and observe. Some are in the middle of nowhere, some are found right off of highways. Either way, it is good to have a balanced experience.

Many of these places might be Widely known sites

I do not claim to be an expert on any of these state parks, any animals found there, or any of their regulations (including safety precautions, contact information, accessibility, etc.) Please contact the parks directly via their official website if curious about visiting
